Art Place88 first opened in March 2009 in Gümligen Bern and then in December 2011 moved to a very modern style gallery in Freudenberg Zentrum; Giacomettistrasse 15 in Ostring Bern. This new gallery has modern exhibits that change monthly and an Art Shop88 with a variety of affordable artworks from designer cards to figurines and artisan artworks. Art Place88 exhibited well over 40 artists both International and Local. The Artist list is on the website www.artplace88.com.
Art Place88 is dedicated to the promotion and encouragement of Young Artists. These Emerging Artists will experience the recognition they will receive for their talents that only an exhibition of their work gives. The list of the Emerging Artist is on the website www.artplace88.com.
Art Place88 besides exhibiting is also involved with charity fund raising. In January 2010 and 2011 Art Place88 raised funds for the following charities – Pension Villa Maria; Aarhus and Wohnheim Villette.
In March 2011 Art Shop88 was launched as the selling website of Art Place88. In December
Art Shop88 became a reality when area or corners are allotted for different Artists.
Art Place88 is facing 2012 with a new prospect of an art gallery or an art shop. New concepts will be developed like “Theme Exhibition”; “ Mixed Medium “, “Multi Media” or “ Artist Corners”.
